Sticky Glue

So there is no many Technologies out there in the Knowledge Management arena….
Through Sticky Glue we’ll try and break down the ins and outs of Knowledge Management and show you how it can become “Sticky” to you as an individual and as an organisation.

But before we go anywhere – I’m sure you’re asking – “Sticky Glue” – where did that come from?

Well it all started on a typical Friday afternoon in the office – by typical I mean sitting and trying to look busy. As the solution specialist in our Knowledge Management team, I was determined to launch an external Blogging, Podcasting…site that focused on knowledge management. I was trying to call it something that was differant and could encapsulate everything that knowledge management is. I wasn’t liking the standard sterotyped names out there….so I turned to our “Bleeding Edge” BI GUY – Gavin.

Now Gavin in his useal , come up with weird stuff mood, suggested in a joking fashion – “Sticky Glue” as knowledge management really brings everything together and keeps it together – so in summary – I loved the name and here we are!

So Sticky Glue will focus on Knowledge Management Technologies, from Collaboration to Enterprise Search. Initially my focus will be Microsoft based as this is my background but where it goes we’ll just have to wait and see….
